Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to occur on April 20, 2020 at Red Bay City Hall at 6:30 PM the purpose of which is to hear public comments regarding the following ordinances to be considered by the City:
ORDINANCE NO. 2020.04.20
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF RED BAY ZONING MAP
WHEREAS, The Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, Sections 11-52-70 through 11-52-84 empowers the City of Red Bay to enact the Red Bay Zoning Ordinance and provide for its administration, enforcement, and amendment; and,
WHEREAS, The Red Bay City Council deems it necessary, for the purposes of promoting the health and general welfare, to amend the Red Bay Zoning Map; and,
WHEREAS, The Red Bay City Council has determined that the proposed amendment is reasonable with consideration, among other things, to the character of the district and its peculiar suitability for particular uses and with a view to conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of land throughout such municipality; and,
WHEREAS, The Red Bay Planning Commission has reviewed proposed amendments and recommends such amendment to the Red Bay City Council; and
WHEREAS, The Red Bay City Council has given adequate public notice of the amendment and has held a public hearing regarding the amendment pursuant to The Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, Section 11-52-77;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Red Bay, Alabama that property located at 1002 4th St NW Red Bay , AL 35582 as Parcel # 0709310000005000 (Franklin County Property Tax Maps, Online, accessed 03/11/2020) is hereby rezoned from B-2 Business to R-2 Residential.
BE IT ORDAINED, this Ordinance shall become effective upon final reading and publication, public health, safety, and welfare requiring it.
