RED BAY, AL – Bertha Bentley Gober, 83, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Franklin County, AL to James and Sylvia Black Bentley. She was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 17, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jeff Wilemon (Tonya), Kristi Demonia, Harley Warmath (Alexia) and Steven Lee Harris; one sister, Jackie McCalpin; great-granddaughter, Sydney Wilemon; step-children, Robert Gober (Janice) and Shelia Snider (Jerry); step-grandchildren, Adara Cromeans, Kevin Woodruff and Shonda Deaton; special nephew, Don McCalpin and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorvan Gober; son, Ricky Harris; daughter, Debra Wilemon; her parents; grandson-in-law, James Demonia; special nephew, Bobby McCalpin and special daughter-in-law, Vickie Oliver.
Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
