VERNON, AL – Travis Michael Johnston, 70, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Generations of Vernon. He was born in Alabama to Travis Elsworth and Linda Alline Vinson Johnston. He served in the US Air Force for nine years. While in service he worked as a security police officer and an executive support officer. He received a National Defense Service Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award and AF Commendation Medal.
Graveside services with military honors will be Monday, March 27, 10 am at Halltown Cemetery with Bro. Rick Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
