Bobby McCalpin

RED BAY, AL – Bobby Joe McCalpin, 87, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Mississippi to Jim and Lena Humphries McCalpin.  He worked in construction as an equipment operator.  He was a veteran of the US Army.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at Halltown Cemetery with Dallas Culver officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by three sons, Perry McCalpin (Judy), Chris McCalpin and Darryl McCalpin; one daughter, Vanessa McCalpin; daughter-in-law, Patricia McCalpin; four grandsons, Joshua, Zachary, Dillon and Jacob; one granddaughter, Amber; three great-grandchildren, Analeigh, Christopher and Aubrey and two brothers, Harlie and James McCalpin.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marylou McCalpin; second wife, Nancy McCalpin; son, Joseph McCalpin; grandson, Christopher McCalpin; two brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Nelson, Joshua McCalpin, Zachary McCalpin, Dillon Williams and Adam Seahorn.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
