TISHOMINGO, MS – Jeffery Don Bonds, 60, of Tishomingo, Mississippi passed away January 14th, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc. Jeff was an active member of Tishomingo Baptist Church. He was a life-long resident of Tishomingo County. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. His hobbies included bicycling, trail running, boating and competing in triathlons. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoyed spending his Saturdays in the Grove with his tailgating family. He was greatly anticipating the birth of his first grand-daughter, Blaire Ivy Bonds. He worked for North Mississippi Health Services for 22 years, initially as an Emergency room nurse and most recently served as Safety Director for North Mississippi Health Services. His enthusiasm, smile, and laughter filled every room he entered. He cherished his time spent with family and friends and lived his life to the fullest. 

Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17th and 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18th at Tishomingo Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18th officiated by Dr. Rusty Fair at Tishomingo Baptist Church, 10 Jackson Street Tishomingo, MS 38873. Burial will be in the Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan Page Bonds; son Dr. Cameron Bonds (Molly); sisters, Shirley Jones (Ray), Brenda Stuart, Nancy Layne (Jack); brother Tony Bonds (Joan); brother-in-law Stanley Page (Terri); mother-in-law Peggy Page; step-mother Louise Bonds and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Alvin and Cleo Bonds; father-in-law Willis Page; and brother-in-law Joe Stuart.

Pallbearers include Dr. Jeremy Blanchard, Bruce Toppin, Todd Davis, David Wilson, Thomas Walker, and Micah Page. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jeff Bonds through Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency at 4400 Lakeland Drive Flowood, MS 39232, or online at https://msora.org/get-involved/giving.
