MADISON, AL – Frances “Fran” Roberts West, 73, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at Burns Nursing Home, Russellville, AL. She was born in Haleyville, AL and was formerly a resident of Red Bay, AL. She was an English teacher at Red Bay High School
and was a member of Red Bay Church of Christ.
Services will be Tuesday, April 12, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Brandon Pressnell, Jason Helton and Norm Glock officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens, Fulton, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two children – Jeremy E. West (Kena) and Amy West Cannon (Michael); five grandchildren – Bella West, Jack West, Will West, Isaiah Mitchell and Isaac Mitchell; her siblings – Ronnie Roberts (Gail), Bonnie Raddin and Eddy Roberts (Nancy) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie “Jim” E. West, her parents, Van Franklin and Annie Odean Tittle Roberts and a brother, Doug Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Jack West, Will West, Isaiah Mitchell, Isaac Mitchell, Van Roberts, Robby Roberts, Dewayne Hellums, Wade Webb, Jeff White, Phil Albritton and Jeremy Weathers.Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
