Mr. & Mrs. Andy Pounds of Golden, Mississippi are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Erin Alyssa Pounds to Jordan Lee Mercer, son of Mr. & Mrs. Deion Mercer of Walnut, Mississippi.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sammie Lee Pounds and the late Charlie Pounds of Golden Mississippi; and Virginia Johnston and the late Howard Johnston of Red Bay, Alabama.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Jimmie Sue Mercer and the late Lee Mercer of Walnut, Mississippi; and the late Doris Matheny and the late Ronald Matheny of Walnut, Mississippi.
Erin is a 2014 graduate of Belmont High School and a 2021 PharmD graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She is currently employed with Walgreens. Jordan is a 2015 graduate of Kossuth High School and a 2020 graduate of Mississippi State with a bachelors’ degree in engineering. He is employed as an engineer with Cooper Tire in Tupelo, Mississippi.
The couple will exchange vows in an intimate ceremony on October 2nd at The Woodlands of Farmington, with reception to follow. After a honeymoon trip to the mountains, they will be making their home in Walnut, Mississippi.
