RUSSELLVILLE, AL – Raymond Edwin Patrick, passed away December 24, 2020 at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, AL. He was born September 18, 1943 in Belmont, MS. He was a faithful member of North Highlands Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing golf, yard work, and traveling. He was a Mississippi State Athletics fan. He taught school for 42 ½ years in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. He spent the majority of his teaching career at Russellville High School in Russellville, Alabama where he taught algebra/math and Driver’s Education.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 26, at 2 p.m. at Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, MS with Bro. Philip Goad officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his son, Jason Edwin Patrick, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille (Savage) Patrick, and his father, Raymond E. Patrick.
Pallbearers will be Roger Enchiff, Brent Enchiff, Patrick Crummie, George Crummie, Frankie Hammock, Gary Hester, Jerry Lindsey and Jerry Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Clement, Dr. Wayne Ray, Hisham Durdunji and Eddie Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Sunnybrook Children’s Home (Jackson, MS), Pinevale Children’s Home (Corinth, MS), St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (Memphis, TN), M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX), or a charity of your choice.
