RED BAY, AL – Johnnie Mae Dees Comi, 74, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. She was born in the Halltown Community, worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was retired from World Pet. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was of the Christian Faith.
Services will be Saturday , December 19, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Glen Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children – Richard Comi II (Yumi), Deborah Alford (Johnny Gilmore), Christine Mills (Teddy) and Anthony Comi (Amy); nine grandchildren – Corinthia Wilson (Zack), Cynthia Comi, Justin Comi (Shelby), Kadie Comi, Merissa Landingham (Steven), Jonathon Smith, Joseph Smith, Christian Smith and Kyleigh Smith; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers – Gary Dees (Delores) and Thomas Dees (Vicki); one sister – Jackie Dees Harris; one aunt – Bertha Mae “Tot” Faulkner; one uncle – Owen Burns and a brother-in-law – Ben Schade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Delilah Burns Dees, a sister, Martha Dees Schade, two nephews, Joey Schade and Michael Dees and aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Justin Comi, Jonathon Smith,, Joseph Smith, Jordan McDonald, Zack Wilson and Greg Dees. Honorary pallbearer will be Anthony Patterson.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
