
Voters in Franklin County have overwhelmingly voted to keep David “Opie” Hester as Commissioner in the Fourth District.
In complete but unofficial results, Hester defeated Democratic challenger Judy Bullen with 9,342 votes to Bullen’s 2,844 votes, a 76.6 percent margin.
Voters also re-elected District Two Commissioner Jason Miller in similar fashion, with Miller totalling 9,905 votes to Mitchell Hamilton’s 2,228.
In other results, incumbent Rep. Robert Aderholt carried Franklin County with 10,241 votes to Rick Neighbors’ 2,125. Tommy Tuberville, who was projected as an easy winner over incumbent U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, carried 9,844 votes against Jones’ 2,602.
President Donald Trump also carried Franklin County with 10,364 votes to Joe Biden’s 2,085.
