RED BAY, AL – Tommie Jean Fowler, 78, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Sanctuary Hospice, Tupelo, MS. She was born in Franklin County, AL and was retired from Blue Bell. She was a member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.
Graveside services will be Sunday, August 23, 3:30 p.m. at Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL with Bro. Daniel Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years – John Horace Fowler; three children– Carl Fowler (Karen), Craig Fowler and Larissa Miller (Rick); step-son – Tim Fowler (Lynda); six grandchildren – Katie Hess (Marshall), Jessica Fowler, Brock Miller, Brett Miller, Logan Fowler and Kara Miller; one great-grandchild – Hank Hess and one sister-in-law – Edith Taylor.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, LaShea Fowler, her parents, Chester Andrew and Reba McKinney Taylor and a brother, Vernon Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Rick Miller, Brock Miller, Brett Miller and Logan Fowler. Honorary pallbearer will be Marshall Hess.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 23, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sanctuary Hospice or New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
