IUKA, MS – Carlee E. “Doc” Nunley, 94, died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, MS. She was born in Red Bay, AL and worked at Genesco for thirty-eight years. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church, Golden, MS.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 14, 11 a.m. at Tishomingo City Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS with Bro. Scotty Young officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three children – James Nunley (Judy), Michael Nunley (Carol Baggett) and Sherry Holloway (Norman); six grandchildren – Tammy Hill, Tim Nunley (Jamie), Carla Hawkins, Kevin Ozbirn, Robert Nunley and Keshia Nunley; one step-grandchild – Stephen Holloway; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister – Martha Pauline Gray and a daughter-in-law-Jettie Ozbirn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Treman Nunley, a son, Thomas Ozbirn, her parents, Oscar Lee and Cleetus Griffus Engle, two sisters, Laverne Engle and Grace Bridges and a step-granddaughter, Claudia Holloway.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Hill, Shane Hill, Tim Nunley, Robert Nunley, Kevin Ozbirn and Dallas Holloway.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 6-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
