BELMONT, MS – William Riley George, 75, died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at North Ms. Medical Center, Iuka, MS. He was born in Red Bay, AL and was a truck driver. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, Dennis, MS.
Graveside services will be Saturday, May 9, 3 p.m. at Joel Cemetery, Dennis, MS with Bro. Hal Holt and Bro. Scot George officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years – Sara George; two children – Michelle Bolton (Randy) Belmont, MS and Anthony George (Rea) Tishomingo, MS; five grandchildren – Whitney Day (Michael), Mackenzie Bolton (Blake Sullivan), Lane George, Eva Moreland and M.J. Moreland; three great-grandchildren – Alexis Day, Madeline Sullivan and Tucker Sullivan; brothers and sisters – Gordon George (Nora Ann), Otis George (Myra), Shelia Bolton (Billy) and Margaret Pardue (Tommy) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara George and brothers and sisters, Vester George, Martha Barnes, Vernell Page and Edward George.Pallbearers will be Michael George, Ricky Page, Steve Thorne, Stephen Johnson, Nicky Henson and Kale George.
