Red Bay to host Essential Workers Appreciation Parade April 24

Anyone can enter a vehicle into the parade, but participants are required to stay in their vehicles at lineup.


Area residents looking to get out of the house and be part of a parade to thank essential workers in the community can do so Friday morning.

The City of Red Bay is hosting an Essential Worker Appreciation Car Parade on Friday morning. Participants, who are required to stay in their vehicles, will line up at Red Bay High school starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 24. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. and will be lead by Red Bay Police Chief Janna Jackson. The parade route will go through Main Street, up Golden Road to 10thAvenue, then north on Hwy. 11 to Hospital Road. The parade route will end after passing Red Bay Pharmacy.

Anyone can be a part of the parade, and Mayor Charlene Fancher said participants can decorate their vehicles, blow their horns and wave signs of “Thank You!”
