VINA, AL – Clarence “Gen” Green, 76, passed away quietly at his home surrounded by his family Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born in Sulligent, AL and was a maintenance welder with John Deere for thirty years. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be Sunday, January 5, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Ronald Watson officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He leaves behind a wife of fifty-six years of marriage – Ann Green of Vina, AL; two daughters – Deana Marie Vallejo and Kathy Lynn Moomaw, both of Vina, AL; one son – Bobby Joe Green of Cordova, Il; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Kate Green of Sulligent, Alabama, ten brothers and six sisters.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Green, Braden Moomaw, Talon Vallejo, Bobby Green, Jr., Dalton Green and Chase Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Moomaw, Chana Blunt and Ali Green.Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
