Come get in the Christmas spirit with a live radio production of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” is set to be performed Dec. 6-8 at the Weatherford Centre in Red Bay.
From the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce: UNA Cinematic Arts and Theatre presents one weekend of special performances of last year’s sold out show, “It’s a Wonderful Life!” It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast. Actors portray numerous characters, and sound effects are done through Foley artists. It’s a Wonderful Life is about the life of George Bailey, a generous and well-meaning man who has become too downcast and tired to continue living. It will take help from a lovable angel to show George what life would be like if he wasn’t born for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of the holidays.
Showtimes at the Weatherford Center are Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased online by clicking here.
All proceeds fund the Create Scholarship, which supports Franklin County students involved in the Arts at UNA.
