RED BAY, AL –Buddy McKinney, 49, died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Red Bay, AL and was an automotive mechanic for thirty years. He attended New Union Missionary Baptist Church. He loved Chevy Monte Carlos, professional wrestling and Vietnam history.
Services will be Saturday, October 5, 2 p.m. at New Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Merritt and Kevin Williams officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife – Carla Nunley McKinney, Red Bay, AL; two daughters – Hollie McKinney and Haley McKinney; one sister – Jan Williams (Kevin); nieces and nephews – Mary Kate Williams, Jackson Williams, Charlie Williams and Macy and Molly Bolton; sister-in-law – Amber Bolton (T.J.) and father and mother-in-law – Joe and Debra Nunley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lois McKinney and his grandparents, L.B. and Audrey McKinney and Will and Mae Carrithers.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Weatherford, Ronald Bolding, Homer Petree, Robert Gober, Frankie Smith and Gerald Collum. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Allen.
Visitation will be Friday, October 4, beginning at 5 p.m. and 12-2 p.m. on Saturday at New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
