HOHFROSCHEN, GERMANY – Richard Floyd Gillette, 54, died on July 25, 2019. He was born on April 27, 1965 in Red Bay, AL. He was working under a government contract as a biomedical technician at a local hospital in Germany. Ricky had traveled to many different areas of the country with his job but always considered Red Bay his home. He had many lifetime friends that he maintained both from Red Bay and all the places he lived.
Services will be at Saturday, August 10, 2019 at noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Rickey Kennedy officiating. There will be no graveside service and burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his daughter – Alexandria Murray; two grandchildren -Taylen and Swayze; his sister – Stephanie Gillette Alexander and four nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Mills Gillette; his father, Wayne W. Gillette and two brothers, Johnny W. Gillette and Roger A. Gillette.
Visitation will be at Saturday, August 10, 11a.m. until 12 noon at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
