A resident of Village Green Apartments was found dead in her apartment over the weekend, but as it stands authorities do not believe foul play is suspected.
Franklin County authorities submitted the body of Angelique Lovelace for an autopsy as part of investigation into her death. Sheriff Shannon Oliver told The Red Bay News on Tuesday that autopsy results received Tuesday afternoon have led his investigators to believe foul play was not involved.
A neighbor who had not heard from her since Saturday went to check on her and found her dead in her apartment.
Red Bay Police Chief Janna Jackson said her department asked the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department to handle the investigation as RBPD Investigator Rodney Belue was out of state and unable to begin the probe.
