GOLDEN, MS – Faye Rene Tate, 81, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at Southern Magnolia Estates in Golden, MS. She was born May 24, 1937 in Atwood, AL to Dellie and Delma Scott Gober. She was retired from Sunshine Homes and attended Golden Central Baptist Church, Golden, MS.
Services will be Friday, November 2, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Matthew Fancher officiating. Burial will be in Sparks Chapel Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons – Jackie Tate, Golden, MS and Mickey Tate (DeAnni) Edmond, OK; five grandchildren – Brandi Cowley (Blake), Dexter Evetts (Jennifer), Stephanie Tate, Macy Tate and Jack Tate; nine great-grandchildren – Tate, Will, Livi, Ashton, Novaleigh, Charli, Bralynn, Gabriel and Teagan; three brothers – Dorvin Gober, Ronald Gober and Orville Lee Gober; two sisters – Shirley Springer and Marie Seal and son-in-law – Tony Harden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Tate, two daughters, Debbie Tate and Pamela Harden and two brothers, Lowell Gober and Bodge Gober.
Pallbearers will be Will Cowley, Tate McClung, Jack Tate, Dexter Evetts, Adam Gober and Ashton Evetts.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
