GOLDEN, MS – Shirley Faye Cooley, 76, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Brosley, Missouri and was a homemaker. She was a singer and
musician and sang in crusades nationwide. She and her husband, Bro. Gene Cooley, pastored Calvary Family Worship Center for forty-three years.
Services will be Saturday, June 17, 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Family Worship Center, Golden, Ms. with Bro. John A. Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Williamson Memorial, Franklin, Tn. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years – Bro. Gene Cooley, Golden, Ms.; one son – Lindell Cooley (Amber) Franklin, Tn.; two grandsons – Samuel Cooley and Isaac Cooley; two brothers – Larry “Moses” Tipton (Gayle) and Jerry Tipton (Pat); two sisters– Lilly Tipton Edgar and Diane Tipton McGarrity and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward Tipton and Nora Bell Tipton, four brothers, Chester, Tipton, Charles Tipton, Ellis Tipton and Arnold Tipton and one sister, Mary Pind.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Family Worship Center.
