RED BAY, AL – Eupal Lindsey Thorne, 84, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at NMMC. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to Zachary Benjamin “Dutch” Lindsey and Minnie Bell Brazil Lindsey. She was saved sixty years ago, was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
Services will be Tuesday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two children-Kathy Thorne Ivy of Red Bay and Jerry Wayne Thorne (Beverly) of Vina; three grandchildren-Brad Ivy (Sonya), Heath Thorne (Tiffany) and Amber Rieder (Josh); eight grandchildren-Nicole Earnest, Jeremiah Thorne, Joshua Thorne, Elijah Hill, Weston Hill, Tristan Rieder, Eirabelle Rieder and Valen Reider; one great-great grandson-Caseyn Rayburn; brother-in-law-Paul Taylor and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years-J.W. Thorne; son-in-law-David Ivy; brothers and sisters-J.D. Lindsey, Monroe Lindsey, Opal Thorne, Fannie Pruitt and Eula Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Cooper, Paul Thorn, Glenn Vinson, Sonny Martin, Bobby Patterson, Rex Patterson and Gary Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Woods, Trent Woods, Austin Holland and Morgan Miller.
Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
