BELMONT, MS. – James Robert Solomon, 83, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, Ms. He was born in Tishomingo, Ms. to James Ross Solomon and Virginia Elizabeth Bolton Solomon. He had worked as a guard at Belmont Homes and attended New Bethel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be Saturday, August 20, at 1:30 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. James Segars and Bro. Glenn Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are wife of sixty-one years – Louise Solomon, Belmont, Ms.; three children – Sherry Bolding, Robbie Solomon (Tammy) and Randy Solomon; six grandchildren – Chad Bolding (Jayme), Stephanie Cleveland (Gentry), Garrett Solomon (Ashli), Jay Solomon, Karman Solomon, and Tanner Solomon (Cari-Beth); four step-grandchildren – Brandon Tesseneer (Alyson), Cassie Doster, Autumn Faulkner and Walker Faulkner; ten great-grandchildren – Luke, Levi, Gabe and Grace Bolding, Keiley Robinson, Kolter Cleveland, Caden Solomon, Teagan Mobley, Tessleigh Solomon and Ella Solomon; four step-great-grandchildren – Braxyn Tesseneer, Peyton Fowler, Ava Harrison and Emma Harrison and one sister – Tracene Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Michael Bolding, a brother, Carlene Solomon and a sister, Jearldene Kelly.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bolding, Garrett Solomon, Jay Solomon, Tanner Solomon, Donnie Mac Wanner and Chris Hall.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church.
