GOLDEN, MS – Dorothy Louise “Dottie” Puckett, 68, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Louisville, KY to Leonard and Virginia Cottrell, Sr who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of Salem Baptist Church.
Services will be Monday, March 16, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont with Bro. Kerry Peden and Bryan Cottrell officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years-Bob Puckett of Golden; four children-Steve Puckett of Richmond, VA, Lisa Curtis of Mantachie, Thomas Puckett (Cindy) of Belmont and Kristi Timms (Jamie) of Fulton; nine grandchildren-Chloe Timms, Matthew Puckett, Jamie Cook, Justin Puckett, James Puckett, Cody Timms, Zack Puckett, Shawn Puckett and T.J. Lindsey; eight great-grandchildren-Kyleigh Cook, Jane Timms, Eli Cook, Talan Puckett, Madden Puckett, Tayton Puckett, Cayson Lindsey and Noah Cook; brother-William “Bill” Cottrell, Jr.; half-brother-David Cottrell; half-sister-Robin Cottrell; and a step-sister-Brenda Beal.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons-Matthew Puckett, Jamie Cook, Justin Puckett, James Puckett, Cody Timms, Zack Puckett, Shawn Puckett and T.J. Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons-Eli Cook, Talan Puckett, Madden Puckett, Tayton Puckett and Cayson Lindsey.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont.
