TREMONT, MS. – Phillip W. Ray, 70, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Itawamba County, Ms. and worked at Day-Brite Lighting for more than forty years. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Believers Baptist Church.
Services will be Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Harold Ozbirn and Bro. Tommy King officiating. Burial will be in Altar Baptist Church Cemetery, Tremont, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 45 years – Joann Ray, Tremont, Ms. and three sisters – Pat Parrish (Lorenzo), Tremont, Ms., Kim Farrar (Mark) Fulton, Ms. and Vickie Cook (Ron) Tremont, Ms.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Conwill, step-father, Orville Conwill and a brother, Russell Conwill.
Pallbearers will be Tim Adair, James Leech, Randy Shotts, Deelane Earnest, Robert Patterson, James “Hugh” Ivy, Tim Parrish, Rusty Parrish, Phil Henson, Jimmy McKinney and Billy Joe Brown.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al.
