VINA, AL. – Brice Bonds Hester Jr., 88, died Monday, February 23, 2015 at his daughter’s residence in Vina. He was born in Franklin County, Al. and was a farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was a member of Old Burleson Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be Saturday, February 28, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are two daughters – Judy Wooten (Danny) and Janice Frederick, all of Vina, Al.; five grandchildren – Brandi Miller, Brent Wooten, Brooke Robbins, Chasity George and Tucker Frederick; six great-grandchildren – Andy George, Katlynn George, Britton Wooten, Jackson Miller, Cash Miller and Rylie Robbins and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brice Bonds Hester Sr. and Minnie Nelson Hester, a daughter, Pam Hardin, a granddaughter, Michelle Hardin and five sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Brent Wooten, Tucker Frederick, John Miller, Luke Robbins, Jared George and Andy George. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Miller and Britton Wooten.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 28, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al.
