Lucille Ivy


Belmont – Lucille “Maw Maw Lucy” Ivy, 89, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 16, 1923 in Tishomingo County, MS. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church.

Services were held Sunday, March 17, at Old Bethel United Methodist Church with Bro. Bobby Hankins, Bro. Donnie Riley and Kyle Ivy officiating. Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors are three children – Larry Ivy (Jeannie) Red Bay, AL., Hilda Roberts (Johnny) and Jack Ivy (Deneca) all of Belmont, MS.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and her pet dog, Buddie Sue.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Truman Ivy, her parents – Arnold and Sally  Hammett, a grandson – Christopher Roberts a great-granddaughter – Hillary McKee, three brothers – Alton, A.C. and Elton Hammett and one sister – Pauline Whitehead.
