Gathel O. Garrison

Gathel Olen Garrison, 67, of Red Bay died Tuesday, November 27, 1990, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was a retired sawmiller and a member of New Union Baptist Church. Services were held Wednesday, November 28, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Rev. Billy Nichols Jr. and Rev. Carl Lofton officiating. Burial followed in the Halltown Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Pearline Garrison of Red Bay; his father, Johnny Garrison of Red Bay; two daughters, Betty Johnson of Mantachie, Miss., and Tammie Scott of Red Bay; two sons, Eddie Garrison of Fulton, Miss., and Nicky Garrison of Red Bay; four sisters, Irene Massey, Bernice Johnson and Linda Humphries, all of Red Bay and Laura Brewer of Hamilton; three brothers, Glover Garrison, Harold Garrison, and Wendell Garrison, all of Red Bay; nine grandchildren.
