Coleman Eugene Poores, age 39, of Red Bay died Monday, April 8, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. in the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. from the Dean Deaton Funeral Home chapel. Rev. J.E. Jackson and Rev. Morris Mills were the officiating ministers. Burial was in the Joel Cemetery in Dennis with Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay in charge of arrangements.
Poores was an employee of Keeton Lumber Co., in Red Bay.
He is survived by his wife: Jeanette Poores of Red Bay; one son: Ricky Poores of Red Bay; his mother Mrs. Myrtle Poores of Red Bay; three sisters: Mrs. Theanzy Hargett, Red Bay; Mrs. Earnestine Massey, Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. Julie Bartelt, Fort McClellan, AL.; three brothers: William Poores and Charles Poores, both of Red Bay; and James Poores of Davenport, Iowa. One granddaughter, Kristy Poores of Red Bay.
